Report Shows Children with Special Health Care Needs Have More Problems Accessing Health Care

This [report][1] finds that 14-19 percent of all children in the U.S. have special health care needs. Although they usually have health insurance, their insurance is less likely to cover all their health needs. These children are more likely to repeat a grade and miss school due to illness, more overweight or obese than their peers and more likely to be exposed to secondhand smoke at home. The entire 106 page report can be downloaded in [PDF format][2]
