FCC Co-Hosting Conferences on Accessible Mobile Communications & Access to Broadband - December 5 - 7

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is co-hosting the [International M-Enabling Summit & Showcase][1] at FCC headquarters and at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center. The conference will take place on December 5th and 6th. Speakers will discuss ways to increase the availability and use of accessible mobile communications and services among senior citizens and people with disabilities. Online registration is closed but you can [register][1] in person at the conference location.

The FCC is also co-hosting [Broadband Adoption and Persons with Disabilities Inquiry Workshop][2]. This free event at will be held at FCC headquarters in Washington, D.C., on December 7th from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The workshop will look at ways to measure and promote [broadband][3] distribution and use by persons with disabilities across the world. There will also be a review of the main barriers that prevent people with disabilities from using broadband or high-speed Internet service. The event will be [webcast live][4].
