U.S. Department of Education Reminds School Districts of Their Obligations Under the ADA & the Rehabilitation Act

The U.S. Department of Education has issued a "Dear Colleague" [letter][1] and a Frequently Asked Questions [document][2] on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Amendments Act. These documents provide guidance on the new requirements of the ADA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act in elementary and secondary schools. It emphasizes the obligations of school districts and their responsibilities made by the law.
