The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced an initiative called ["Connect to Compete"][1] to bring low-cost broadband and computers to millions of low-income Americans. This effort will offer families eligible for the [National School Lunch Program][2] discounted monthly broadband Internet and a laptop or desktop computer, and free digital literacy training. _Connect to Compete_ will begin in select cities in spring 2012.
