IN BRIEF: Bladder Infections Antibiotic Cefpodoxime found inferior to Ciproflaxacin

Bladder Infections are common in women. They are even more common in women with medical conditions like Diabetes , Multiple Sclerosis, and/or wheelchair users.  It is serious business because of the possibility of recurrences.  The antibiotic of choice is  Ciproflaxacin (Cipro)as discussed in our previous post

Cipro is effective but,  being of the Fluoroquinolone family, has longer toxicity and looses some effectiveness with repeated use.

The Ivanhoe site has a post on a study **_comparing  the success rate of Cefpodoxime, another antibiotic, with Cipro_**:
