EEOC Sues Owner of Golden LivingCenter - Dartmouth for Disability Discrimination
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced a lawsuit against GGNSC Charlotte Renaissance LLC, a Delaware corporation that operates Golden LivingCenter-Dartmouth in Charlotte, NC, for discriminating against an employee with a disability and then unlawfully firing her. The employees had a major depressive episode which led to her being admitted for psychiatric evaluation and treatment. Golden LivingCenter refused to approve her request for a medical leave of absence as an [accommodation ][1]for her disability and instead fired her.
