EEOC Releases Federal Work Force Data

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) released its [Annual Report on the Federal Work Force Part II: Work Force Statistics, Fiscal Year (FY) 2010][1], covering the period from October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010. The comprehensive report informs and advises the President and the Congress on the state of equal employment opportunity government-wide. Despite a modest gain of 554 employees in FY 2010, the hiring rate of individuals with targeted disabilities remained at 0.88 percent. Targeted disabilities include deafness, blindness, missing extremities, partial or complete paralysis, convulsive disorders, intellectual disabilities, mental illness, and distortion of the limb and/or spine.
