Affordable Care Act Will Ensure Health Coverage for Millions of Americans

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has announced policies that will make sure that millions of uninsured Americans will have affordable health insurance coverage. The [Affordable Care Act][1] makes Medicaid available to individuals between ages 19 and 64 with incomes up to 133 percent of the federal poverty level - currently $14,856 for an individual and $30,656 for a family of four. These changes will become effective in 2014 when [Affordable Insurance Exchanges][2] begin operation.
