IEMA has kicked off its 2012 Preparedness Campaign by focusing on emergency preparedness for people with functional and access needs. Different preparedness topics will be highlighted each month in 2012 to increase disaster preparedness in Illinois. A guidebook titled [_Emergency Preparedness Tips for Those with Functional Needs_][1] is available to help people with disabilities and their caregivers. The booklet includes a list of items for a disaster kit, tips on developing an emergency plan and a checklist of preparedness activities.
