DOL Reminds Workforce System About Free Tax Filing Resources

The U.S. Department of Labor has sent a memo to state workforce agencies and One-Stop Career Centers about [Free File][1] and other resources to assist individuals in preparing and filing federal and state income tax returns for 2011. Free File provides free online federal tax preparation and e-filing services to millions of low-to-moderate income taxpayers. Free File helps taxpayers claim all the deductions and credits for which they qualify such as the [Earned Income Tax Credit][2] and child and elder care credits. This link opens a PDF document.
