FEMA Disaster Aid to West Virginia Won't Affect Social Security Benefits or Taxes

West Virginian residents who receive disaster assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) following recent tornadoes and flooding will not have to pay additional income taxes, or have their Social Security or any other federal benefits reduced. Assistance from FEMA and West Virginia does not count as income. Find out if you are eligible for disaster assistance.
