2012 National Preparedness Report

FEMA and its partners have released the 2012 National Preparedness Report summarizing how prepared we are as a nation in planning for and responding to emergencies and disasters. The report indicates that the nation has improved its preparedness, not only from external threats, but also for natural and technological hazards. Despite some progress, integrating people with disabilities and others with functional needs, for example older adults and people with chronic medical conditions, needs more attention.
