MND BRIEF: Butter flavoring implicated in Alzheimer's

From an article in Chemical Research in Toxicology [1], Diacetyl (DA) aggravates beta-amyloid plaques in Alzheimer's.

Problem is besides pop corn butter flavoring, DA is present in many food.

Is that News? Yes and no.  We published a post [2] in** Dec 2010** discussing another study that shows DA could bringing about the disease Bronchiolitis Obliterans Syndrome (BOS ). Obliterans might be Latin but it is  pretty clear…

So, here we are, **in 2012:** If BOS , didn't get you by consuming DA , Alzheimer's might….
