New Process to Speed Up Decisions on Social Security Disability Applications from Wounded Warriors

The Social Security Administration (SSA) and Department of Defense (DoD) are working to improve access to [disability benefits][1] for the nation's Wounded Warriors, Service Members, Veterans and their dependents. A new DoD-SSA process lets Social Security get electronic medical records directly from DoD. This will help reduce the time it takes to make a medical decision on a Social Security disability application.
