Justice Department Settles with Flint, MI, to Make Voting Accessible to People with Disabilities

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has announced a settlement under the [Americans with Disabilities Act][1] with the city of Flint, MI, to make all the city's polling places more accessible for individuals with mobility impairments. Under the settlement, the city will make all of its polling places accessible to people with disabilities by the November 2012 elections. Accessibility will also be a major factor in the city's choice of future polling places and the DOJ will work with the city to help determine whether a polling place can be made accessible.
