FCC Requests Comments on Video Description & Access to Emergency Information - New Extended Comment Deadline - June 4

The [**Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act of 2010**][1] directed the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to establish the [**Video Programming Accessibility Advisory Committee**][2] (VPAAC). On April 24, 2012, the FCC requested public comments on two parts, specifically, [**video description**][3] and [**emergency information**][4], of the VPAAC's second report. These reports will help create rules to make emergency information and video programming devices accessible to individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
