EEOC Sues Christian Care Center for Discriminating against Employee with HIV

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has charged a nursing home provider with violating federal law when it discriminated against an employee because the employee has HIV. Christian Care Center of Johnson City, Inc. and Care Centers Management Consulting, Inc. (operating as one company) violated [Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act][1] (ADA) when it fired a new employee after it learned that the employee has HIV. It is against the law to discriminate against an employee because of a disability.
