Court Supports EEOC Discrimination Charges for Group of Individuals

A district court has overruled United Road Towing's claim that the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) failed to satisfy administrative requirements by not giving the names of individuals in their discrimination charges. The EEOC had charged United Road Towing for medical leave discrimination under the [Americans with Disabilities Act][1]. Under the law, before filing a lawsuit, the EEOC must investigate and determine if here has been a violation. The court ruled that the EEOC informed the company that it found reasonable cause to believe that the law had been violated in relation to a class of individuals with disabilities.
