Children's Hospital Colorado to Pay $95, 000 to Settle EEOC Disability Lawsuit

Children's Hospital Colorado will settle a discrimination suit brought against it by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) for discriminating against a job applicant due to her disability. The applicant, who has fibromyalgia, was offered the position upon successful completion of a pre-employment health screen, but had it withdrawn after a medical exam. It is against the [Americans with Disabilities Act][1] to deny a job to an applicant because of a disability.
